About Us
Middle school students from the Ayden community attend Ayden Middle School. The home of the Knights has been educating students since opening its doors in 1982. At around 350 students in grades 6-8, Ayden Middle is Pitt County Schools' smallest traditional middle school and offers open enrollment.
Student Opportunities:
Exploratory Classes: band, chorus, orchestra, art, music, AVID, physical education, career exploration, makerspace, and STEM
Competitive Teams: TSA, Battle of the Books, and Science Olympiad
Athletics: football, basketball, cheerleading, baseball, softball, volleyball, track, and cross country
Clubs & Programs: AIG, SGA, Beta Club, FCA
